Moon, sun, and the middle

Ṣaṭ-cakra-nirūpaṇa, Pūrṇānanda, opening verse

Outside the central staff, the text places two channels. Iḍā is named with the moon. Piṅgalā is named with the sun.

Between them runs suṣumṇā. The verse calls her moon, sun, and fire, a string of opening flowers from the lower body to the head.
