Sittings
Alone, or in a room.
Meditation here is the same posture as the hour. Sit, or lie down. There is nothing to perform.
On your own
Choose a quiet place. Sit or lie down. Eyes closed if that is easy. Four minutes is enough. Stay longer only while the posture is easy, and sit up when you want.
The old manuals describe held breath, seals, and locks. Those drills stay in the library. They are not the sitting.
With other people
A group meditation is the hour: several people, one posture, a facilitator in the room. Music may play. Experience differs from person to person. You can sit up. You can leave.
In London, Mirabel Williams holds the group. A date is posted on the London page when a room is opened. An online group uses the same shape, from a distance, and waits for a date in the same way.
